More importantly, I learned the exact steps required to change it and I've bundled them up into a simple-to-follow system that I call E-CET (Embodied Cognitive Eating Training).

[Optional] Week Seventeen to Twenty

After the initial 16 week learning phase, E-CET's robust aftercare program kicks in to help support your integration process. The integration phase is crucial in any transformative process, especially in programs like E-CET. There's no new content in this phase but it gives you extra live, weekly calls, along with the chance to retake the program as many times as you want to. Many clients love this option as they say they always learn something new when they take it again, or in case they miss any of the content the first time. The after-care program eliminates the pressure and fear of falling behind because it allows us to meet you where you are, so you can go at your own pace.

Solidifying Learning: The integration phase helps solidify the knowledge and skills gained during the earlier phases. It's one thing to learn concepts intellectually, but it's another to incorporate them into daily life and new belief systems. This takes varying amounts of time for different people.

 

Establishing Your New Normal: Lasting change happens when you have the right tools and systems and practice them until they become your new normal, your natural new way of being. Basically, you need time to internalize and apply what you've learned. The integration phase provides the space, guidance and support for this to happen.

 

Reinforcing Resilience: In any journey of personal development, there will be challenges and setbacks. The integration phase allows you to get support and guidance while you practice resilience and new coping strategies.

 

Preventing Relapse: Without a proper integration phase, it's possible to revert to old habits and patterns before it becomes the new normal. This phase exists to prevent that.

 

Refining the Details: It provides an opportunity to assess progress and identify areas that may need further attention or refinement.

 

Building Confidence: Successfully integrating new practices builds confidence and self-efficacy. It shows you that you do have the ability to sustain positive change!

 

Overall, the integration phase bridges the gap between theory and real-world application, ensuring that the positive changes individuals have made become an integral part of their lives.

THE LIVE GROUP CALLS

20 Weekly, Live Group Calls - The Agenda

Your weekly live calls are your chance to connect (with yourself and others in your group), practice what you're learning, get support and specific guidance for whatever is keeping you stuck. They're a safe, inviting, and unconditionally accepting space where we laugh, cry, and everything in between.
 

  • EARLY ENTRY
    Your zoom room will open approximately 15 minutes before the live call is scheduled to begin. This time will be used to give you a chance to join early and take advantage of an optional yoga session before the call begins. These sessions are short, beginner-friendly, focused on cultivating connection with your body and healing common aches and pains (eg. neck and shoulder tension, hip/lower back, etc). Most will be able to be done from your chair.
     
  • GETTING STARTED
    When the call starts, we'll take a moment before we get started to practice getting present and connected, to the moment and in your body.
     
  • CHECKING IN
    Next up, your chance to update on your challenges, struggles and wins for the week. This is where we'll dig into whatever is currently tripping you up or triggering you and together, make a plan for either exploring it deeper, or overcoming it in the following week. You'll also hear, and learn from, everyone else's struggles and be inspired by their wins. Clients always say this is one of the best parts of the entire process.
     
  • DISCUSSION + PRACTICE
    Lots of discussion and sharing happens during the check-ins and after. We build on the course content, practice many of the skills together, explore experiential exercises, like eating together and we discuss answers to all your burning questions.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the program work?

When you register, you'll get an email with more information about what to expect and right before the program begins, you'll get an email with a link to members portal with all your course content, and a link to join our live calls. You'll get one new lesson with meditation and workbook per week for sixteen weeks, plus twenty weeks of live coaching calls with your group. The weekly calls are your chance to get support, help and specific strategies for whatever you're struggling with each week... or celebrate all your wins. It's also your chance to connect with others in the program and hear from those who are further ahead in their journey so you hear first hand, what to expect.

 

After the first 16 weeks, you'll have the option of continuing the weekly calls for as long as you want to, in the after-care program. When you stay in the after-care program, you also have access to retaking the course (for FREE) as many times as you'd like with new groups. This means, you can take all the time in the world to go through the program. There's no rush, you can't fall behind or fail. You move through it at your own pace.

Is this a weight-loss program? Will I lose weight?

This is not a weight-loss program. You don't need another weight-loss program. You already know how to lose weight and you know it never stays off. Focusing on weight is a huge part of what's keeping you stuck where you are. E-CET is a fully weight-neutral program. That means our priority together will be focused on how you feel, how you want to feel and giving you solutions for whatever is keeping you from feeling that way, or making the choices that help you feel that way. E-CET will help you create freedom and peace in your life. It will help you relearn to trust your body, and yourself, to free you from the thought and behavior patterns that may cause you to make choices that keep you from feeling and living your best, and help you trust your body enough to allow it to settle into whatever size it needs or wants to be in order to feel and function its best. 

What makes this different than other 'food freedom' programs?

A lot of things make it different!

 

👉 Many programs that promise "food freedom" still focus way too heavily on food and they don't get at the heart of all the reasons why we eat self-destructively. And the truth is, as long as you're still focused on what you're eating, you can't really focus on why you're eating because the obsessions over what, overpower your ability to get clear on why.

 

👉 In addition to that, until I created E-CET, mindful or intuitive eating were the two most popular options for healing your relationship with food. But I tried both of those myself when I was trying to heal my own and neither, on their own, worked for me. BUT, the combination of them both plus, cognitive behavioral strategies, meditation and mind-body connection work were my miracle answer. But I can assure you, over the past almost 5 years now, countless people have gone before you, in the exact same situation, feeling exactly the same way and they took the leap anyway.

 

And with E-CET, success is the norm. Every client who has completed the coursework, or at least consistently showed up for the weekly calls, and actively applied and practiced the tools provided in between, has experienced a massive transformation.

I will tell you though, if you're not ready to give up your obsession with being the perfect size or eating the perfect way, this is not the process for you.

If you ever want a different outcome, you need to be ready to take a completely different approach. If you're not there yet, that's totally okay.  It's better to save your money and keep engaged with the free content for now. 

How much of a time commitment is it?

Before I answer, imagine how much extra time and energy you'd have if you didn't spend it all obsessing over food and your weight?

 

Seriously, think about it for a second. Think about all the time and energy you’d have if you weren’t constantly obsessing, stressing and feeling ashamed.  So much more time, right? 😉

 

Anyway, I know you're busy and E-CET is not here to consume your life with more things to do. It's about giving you new tools to integrate into your life, as it is. It's not about an entire lifestyle overhaul, or spending hours "working on yourself" every day. 

This is about meeting you where you are, not trying to make you fit into our agenda.

 

We want to make life easier, not harder. The biggest time commitment is in the first sixteen weeks, but even that is minimal and there's no pressure to 'keep up'. Each week for the first sixteen weeks, there's a short video lesson, a workbook and our group calls. These are typically 1-2 hours long. After that, there's no new content, but there are four more weeks of weekly live calls. This is to give you extra time to integrate what you learned or get caught up on any weeks of content that you missed. 

What is your refund policy?

Refunds are not possible due to the nature of the program.

But also, because frankly, part of what makes E-CET work is your commitment to the process and financial accountability helps ensure this. It's far easier to quit on yourself when you have less skin in the game, as they say. I've seen this play out over and over again for the free and lower-cost programs I offer. The completion rate on those is abysmal compared to the completion rate on E-CET.

 

But I do want your investment to be as risk-free as possible, so I always have a 100% rollover policy in place.

 

This means that if, after enrolling, you find that life gets busier than expected (or for whatever reason) you find you cannot complete the program with your group, I'll roll you over into a future group cohort at zero additional cost. And, for as long as you're an active member, you can retake the program with future groups as many times as you like.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, absolutely! You'll find installment options at the check-out.

What if I don't complete the course content?

No pressure! If you join the group or VIP option, you have all the time you need to complete the course content. If you don't finish it during the first round, you'll have the option of making use of the robust after-care program where you'll have all the time you need to finish it and even take it again for FREE with the next cohort(s).

Couldn't I just keep going it alone with all the free content out there?

Well... you could. And I encourage you to try it, because if that works for you, great!
 

But I'm willing to bet you've already been trying that - probably for many years with little to no change.

Because between the hours (years) it takes to parse through all the free stuff, the confusion in trying to determine what's actually helpful or not, the frustration involved in constant trial and error, the self-sabotaging brain that does everything in its power to convince you to give up - going it on your own makes the process a thousand times longer, and harder than it needs to be.

 

I have done all that leg work for you already and E-CET is the result. It's here, waiting to hand you a direct path, provide a tour guide to make sure you don't get lost or stuck at any road blocks, a vehicle to take you there, the tools you'll need along the way, and a community of BFFs to take the trip with you.

What if I just quit this like I quit everything else?

Listen, I get it. I really do. You've started more programs and plans than you can even count over the years and you probably feel like all you do is quit at this point. You're scared to try again, especially with something so different.

 

The truth is, I can't tell you for sure that you won't quit this too. But what I can tell you for sure is that I exclusively work with women just like you - women who have a history of quitting everything else and success is the norm, in E-CET.

 

Because I've meticulously crafted every single detail to support your success and this is a process unlike anything you've ever done before.

 

There's no guilt, judgment, restriction, deprivation, feelings of failure, or any of that stuff that comes from the things you've tried already. Helping you start feeling better and doing things that align with your wants and needs is the entire goal of this process.

 

What do you want and need right now to just feel good, what barriers are holding you back and what can we do about that? 

 

That's the heart of this work, which makes it a whole lot easier to not want to quit! And when you practice the new skills long enough, there isn't even anything to quit because your brain completely changes, so it all just becomes your new normal. 

I'm nervous about the group element, I don't like to share.

This isn't so much a question, but definitely something I hear often and it's something many clients are concerned about. Often, we don't talk about or admit our "weight and food stuff" with anyone, so getting real about it with other people feels scary. But talking about it, especially with other women who have the same lived experience makes a world of difference. You start feeling seen, heard, and accepted exactly as you are. Those things are priceless because we are literally hard-wired for connection and belonging. And here, you belong. Exactly as you are. There's so much power and room for healing in having a space like that.

 

Remember that everyone in the group is there for the same reason you are. They're all in the same boat, and I've been in it too. We all get it, so it truly is the safest place to share. 

 

And it's all 100% confidential.

But if the group element is the only thing holding you back, there are new self-study and private options available, as well... though experience tells me, the group, as scary as it might feel, really is the best place for you.

Should I do the self-study, group or private option?

That's up to you, but based on my experience, the group is the best bang for your buck.

 

These are my thoughts, if it helps...

 

Self-study courses are notorious for having abysmally low compliance and completion rates. I only include it as an option because I know some people do prefer it and will follow through, but if you're someone who has a history of buying self-study courses and not following through on them, I don't recommend this option. While you do get weekly check-ins via email to help with some troubleshooting, it's not the same as attending a live call where you can:

  • have constant access to expert guidance and support to help you uncover and shift the things that have kept you from following through in the past.
  • hear from other people struggling with the same things you are, gain inspiration and hope from their wins, and provide them the same with your wins.
  • have active conversations about what might be tripping you up and get live, expert guidance on how to work through it.
  • experience the inspiration and connection that comes from being with others on the same journey as you.
  • actively engage in experiential exercises to support your learning, healing, and growth.

 

The private option does include the group in addition to private sessions, which give you a more personalized feel, but because I keep the groups so small, most clients feel like they get all the one on one time they need, even in the groups. I'm not here to try to sell you something you don't need and it's likely that you won't find you need one-on-one calls. If you're on the fence, you can always add them later if you feel like you need them. Though, I know some people just prefer one on one and if that's you, cool, the option is there!

When are the group live calls held? 

Currently, the calls are on Tuesdays at 12pm EST but this is subject to change. We move the calls around based on what works best for everyone. I also add additional calls to break up the groups if they begin getting too full.

You cannot heal in the same environment that made you sick, as they say.

 

 

So, it's decision time. You can either continue fighting, futilely trying to control your weight and food intake, to make yourself eat the 'right' things, living that inner war that's been stealing so much of your life and harming your health.

 

OR...

...you can start making peace, trusting yourself and your body, living and eating from love rather than fear, and actually changing the driving forces behind why you can't stop craving the 'bad' things, so those patterns have a chance to naturally fade away into nothing more than a distant memory.
