I have been a mental health/substance use disorder therapist for 16 years. That's a big problem for three reasons:

IT DISCONNECTS YOU

It disconnects you from your unique, individual moment-to-moment needs. It forces you into a state of disconnection from yourself and your body. When you're disconnected from yourself in this way, you're also disconnected from your own individual moment-to-moment needs, leaving you unable to meet those needs because you're not even able to identify what they are. Instead, you end up stuck living in the 'on track' vs 'off track' cycle of trying to force yourself to do what you think you "should-be" doing for your health and happiness rather than what you actually need to support those things.

IT KEEPS YOU STUCK

It's a never-ending cycle of chasing health and happiness, feeling like you have to keep desperately striving for them but always falling short, all while overlooking the incredible power you possess to influence and shape how you feel in the present moment. The truth is, this moment is all that truly exists. The quality of your life is determined by how you feel right now, which is largely determined by how well you're meeting your current individual mental, emotional, and physical needs. The rigid expectations of eating the 'right' things, in the 'right' amounts, moving the 'right' ways, and trying force yourself to make choices based what you think you 'should' do to try to achieve some future outcome does nothing but block you from experiencing true health and happiness right now, preventing you from ever really accessing the very things you keep chasing.

IT IGNORES YOUR WHY

It ignores the driving forces behind why you make the choices you make. What drives your current lifestyle? Your day-to-day, moment-to-moment choices. What drives your choices? The things going on in you. Your thoughts, beliefs, emotions, and conditioned patterns of behavior and they do so almost completely subconsciously so you're not even really aware of it. You're just going through life repeating the same thoughts, beliefs and patterns on autopilot, feeling unable to shift them because they've become part of your programming.

THERE IS A BETTER WAY.

Hey, there!

I'm Roni and I was a part of that system as a personal trainer and nutrition and wellness coach for many years. I sold weight loss and traditional 'healthy eating and lifestyle changes' until I finally quit when I started to feel like I had been taught to sell a lie, by a system that was doing more harm than good.

 

Now, I'm actively working on changing the way we think about and approach healthy eating and living. And transforming the lives and eating habits of women all over the world with E-CET, in the process.

 

I've been working with women around this whole weight and food thing for 14 years and struggled myself for around 30 years. E-CET was born out of my frustration when trying to heal my own issues. I couldn't find any one thing that actually helped so I had to find my own way, by piecing together a wide range of modalities and it's from this, that E-CET was born.

It's way past time to start reimaging how we approach healthy eating and living.


Caring for your body, your health and well-being; those things shouldn't be hard. They shouldn't cause fear, shame and guilt every time you can't stick to them, nor should they be something you feel like you have to 'try to stick to' in the first place.
