Let's be real - the diets, lifestyle changes, goals & motivation tricks aren't working because...

Conventional wisdom in the healthy eating and living worlds is driven largely by fear, insisting that we must go through life obsessing over trying to force and control our external choices to be healthy and happy.

That's a problem for three reasons:
 

  1. it disconnects us from our unique, individual moment-to-moment needs. When we're disconnected from ourselves and our own moment-to-moment needs, we're unable to best support our own well-being. We end up stuck living through the lens of what we think we "should-be" doing for health rather than what we actually need.
     
  2. it keeps us stuck chasing health and happiness as goals we can only reach at some later date rather than allowing us to fully appreciate all the goodness and power we have in this moment, right now.
     
  3. it ignores the driving forces behind why we make the choices we make. What drives our lifestyles? Our day-to-day choices. What drives our day-to-day choices? The things going on in us. Our thoughts, beliefs, emotions, and conditioned patterns of behavior and they do so almost completely subconsciously. We go through life repeating the same thoughts, beliefs and patterns on autopilot, feeling unable to shift them because they've become part of our programming.

Your outer world is created, and driven by, your inner world.

If you want anything in your outer world to change in any way that will actually last, it's your inner world that you must turn towards and focus on changing.

How E-CET Helps

E-CET stands for Embodied Cognitive Eating Training. Simply put, it refers to the process by which clients learn to transform their outer world (with a focus on unhealthy thought and behavior patterns, in particular with food) by reconnecting with, and transforming, their inner world.

 

Let's break it down.

 

Embodied: To be embodied can be described as a moment-to-moment presence in our body as we experience life. To be embodied is to be awake and aware of the natural flow of sensations, feelings, and energies that flow through our bodies. 

 

E-CET reminds us that our bodies are natural communicators and healers. Given this, we can only truly make choices that best support our health and well-being when we're embodied—when we're living fully in the present moment and in our bodies—making choices informed by their present moment communication.

 

Cognitive: Our minds drive our thoughts, beliefs, emotions, habits, behaviors, and choices, usually on auto-pilot. As a result, they have a powerful impact on our bodies and our health.

 

Our minds affect our bodies and our bodies affect our minds. They are interconnected, not separate.

 

E-CET is a proven training system that teaches clients to reconnect them so they can work together to transform the way they eat, think and live in ways that best support overall well-being, in harmony and peace.

E-CET combines multiple evidence-based modalities to teach clients the skills required to:

  • understand and change unhealthy behaviors with food, and in general, so they naturally make choices that best support their overall well-being
  • build coping strategies to navigate and manage difficult emotions without always relying on food for everything
  •  repair the relationships they have with themselves, their bodies and food

A standard cognitive model

E-CET uses a standard cognitive model that suggests thoughts, feelings and behaviors are all equally interconnected. 
 
What we think affects how we feel and what we do. What we feel affects what we think and what we do. What we do affects how we feel and what we think.
 
And all three are equally interconnected. A feeling can inspire a thought, an action can modify a feeling and our choices (with food or otherwise) are determined by both.

E-CET USES MULTIPLE EVIDENCE-BASED MODALITIES TO

Reimagine healthy eating & living through wholehearted being

Simply put: E-CET recognizes that the choices we make are driven by our brains, often completely subconsciously—without conscious intellectual activity (such as thinking, reasoning or remembering) or without connection to the wisdom and communication of our bodies.

 

It's a weight-neutral guided process that teaches clients to reconnect with, listen to, and trust the wisdom of their own bodies, while intentionally re-engaging the conscious intellect—all from a foundation that is firmly rooted in their own worthiness.

 

E-CET relies on four main pillars of being to assist this process—being present, connected, curious and intentional.

 

This results in not only creating healthier eating and thinking habits, but also healthier relationships with food, themselves and their bodies... and ultimately greater health, happiness and well-being as a whole.

About Roni Davis


E-CET founder, award-winning coach, speaker, author, and host of the Being More podcast.

E-CET creator, award-winning coach, speaker, author, podcaster, Roni Davis is on a mission to change the way the world approaches weight, healthy eating and healthy living.

 

She spent almost 3 decades struggling with weight, food, negative body (and self) image, negative internal dialogue and even bulimia, depression and anxiety. 

 

She also spent over a decade gaining education and professional experience as an award-winning personal trainer and nutrition and wellness coach, nationally qualified champion figure athlete plus, more recently, training in mindfulness, meditation, and CBT. 

 

Roni’s own decades-long healing journey and professional training and experience along with almost 4 years of testing and perfecting led to the creation of E-CET. 

 

Her work with Embodied Cognitive Eating Training allows clients to uncover and change the toxic thought and behavior patterns that drive weight and food struggles. She guides and supports clients through the process of creating presence, breaking unhealthy patterns, and developing deeper connections to themselves and with their bodies.

 

The result is lasting freedom from the obsession of weight and food wars, improved relationships with themselves, their bodies, and food. Clients also develop greater resilience, tools for understanding and managing emotions, improved overall health and well-being, and a more balanced & present way of eating and living; one that’s grounded in self-trust, freedom, self-compassion and love.
